This pattern is from my ‘Comforts of Home’ series. The rug is knit flat using slip-stitches. Instructions are written out; no graph is given. Edging is single crochet with optional fringing.

Yarn: Aran weight hard-wearing yarn

Shown here: Harrisville ‘New England Highland’ – 200 yds (183 meters); Russet, 4 skeins, Sandalwood, 3 skeins.

Needles: Size US 6 (4mm)

Gauge: 18 sts and 20 rows = 4″ (10cm)

Finished size: Approximately 35″ x 55″ (89cm x 140cm)
